Our policy
We respect intellectual property. We respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.
Sending a copyright notice
Send notices through the contact form with the topic "Copyright notice". The form asks for each of the required elements:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- Identification of the material on this site, with its URL.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner.
Counter-notification
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notification through the contact form. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.
We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us they have filed a court action.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
Repeat infringers
The site has no user uploads. Our repeat infringer policy applies to any material contributed to the site: we will stop accepting material from anyone who repeatedly infringes.
Forwarding notices
We may forward a notice or counter-notification to the party concerned.
